Designed as a San Francisco pied-à-terre for a Carmel-based client and his family, this apartment balances classical structure with moments of softness, color, and quiet delight. The renovation included both architecture and interiors, with an emphasis on spare geometry, material richness, and emotional tone.

Each room was styled to reflect the client’s sensibility and art collection.  Details accumulate rather than announce themselves: a stone checkerboard floor, a moody bedroom the color of a tan M & M, a bath wrapped entirely in a soft green marble. The result is a city apartment that feels calm, textural, and complete.
